Mods and modpacks

Enzonic Launcher keeps every modded setup in its own instance and installs mods from Modrinth and CurseForge together with the mods they depend on.

Loaders

When you create an instance you choose a Minecraft version and a loader: Fabric, Quilt, Forge, NeoForge or none (vanilla). The launcher installs the loader and the right Java version. Releases are listed by default; snapshots are behind a toggle.

Search Modrinth and CurseForge

The Discover page searches Modrinth, CurseForge or both at once. Results are filtered to the instance's Minecraft version and loader, so you only see files that fit. You can browse:

  • mods
  • modpacks
  • resource packs
  • shader packs
  • data packs (installed into a world)

CurseForge is reached through Enzonic's own proxy, so no API key ships inside the app. Some CurseForge authors turn off downloads from third-party apps; for those files the launcher shows a manual download step instead of fetching them another way.

Dependencies are installed for you

Installing a mod plans everything it needs first. Required dependencies are listed under Also installs before anything is downloaded, then installed with the mod. Downloads are checked against the hashes the platform publishes.

Keep mods up to date

  • Update checks for installed mods, with changelogs between your version and the new one.
  • Lock a mod so Update all leaves it alone.
  • Change version moves a mod to an older or newer file and warns when the file is made for another Minecraft version or loader.
  • A pre-launch check points out missing dependencies before the game starts.
  • A one-click performance boost adds Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ModernFix, ImmediatelyFast and Entity Culling on Fabric (Embeddium on Forge) where a version exists for your setup.

Modpacks

WhatHow
InstallModrinth modpacks, .mrpack files, CurseForge modpack zips, Enzonic share codes
Export.mrpack, CurseForge zip, Prism/MultiMC zip, a server pack, or a mod list as text, Markdown or HTML
ShareA share code that friends paste into their launcher to get the same pack
Import from other launchersPrism Launcher, MultiMC, CurseForge, Modrinth App, ATLauncher, GDLauncher and the official Minecraft Launcher (copied, never moved)

Updating an installed modpack in place, testing updates before applying them and bisecting a crash to the mod that causes it are betas: switch them on in Settings › Beta features.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Fabric and Forge mods in the same instance?

No. A Fabric mod needs a Fabric (or Quilt) instance and a Forge mod needs a Forge instance. Create one instance per loader; the search only offers files that match the instance.

Does it install mod dependencies automatically?

Yes. Required dependencies are shown before the install starts and installed together with the mod.

Can I move my instances from Prism Launcher or CurseForge?

Yes. The import dialog reads instances from Prism Launcher, MultiMC, CurseForge, Modrinth App, ATLauncher, GDLauncher and the official launcher and copies them into Enzonic Launcher.

Is there a guide for installing Fabric mods?

Yes: How to install Fabric mods.

Enzonic Launcher is free for Windows, macOS and Linux. It requires Minecraft: Java Edition.
