Frequently asked questions
Is Enzonic Launcher free?
Yes. The launcher, the Enzonic Client and modules are free and show no ads. Enzonic Cloud server hosting has a free tier and paid plans, and Enzonic Relay has a free tier and paid plans.
Do I need to own Minecraft?
Yes. You need Minecraft: Java Edition on a Microsoft account. Offline accounts are offered only after a Microsoft account on the launcher has shown that it owns the game.
Is Enzonic Launcher safe?
Download it only from launcher.enzonic.com and compare the file's SHA-256 with the value on the download page. The launcher signs you in through Microsoft's own sign-in page, keeps tokens in your operating system's keychain (or its own encrypted file if the keychain is unavailable), and checks every update against a signature before installing it. Its installers are not code-signed yet, so Windows or macOS may show a warning on first launch.
Is it open source?
No. Enzonic Launcher is free, proprietary software from Enzonic LLC. Bundled third-party components keep their own licences.
Is it an official Minecraft launcher?
No. Enzonic Launcher is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. It downloads the game from Mojang's servers.
Which operating systems are supported?
Windows (x64 MSI installer), macOS 11 or later (separate builds for Apple silicon and Intel) and Linux (x86_64 .deb and AppImage). See the Mac guide.
Which mod loaders and Minecraft versions work?
Fabric, Quilt, Forge and NeoForge, plus vanilla, for the versions Mojang publishes, including snapshots behind a toggle. Java is downloaded automatically for each version.
Can it install mods from Modrinth and CurseForge?
Yes, with their required dependencies, update checks and changelogs. See mods and modpacks.
Can I import my instances from another launcher?
Yes: from Prism Launcher, MultiMC, CurseForge, Modrinth App, ATLauncher, GDLauncher and the official Minecraft Launcher. Instances are copied, never moved.
What is the Enzonic Client?
A free Fabric mod with HUD modules (FPS, CPS, keystrokes and more), a HUD editor and optional minimap and freelook betas. See Enzonic Client.
Can I host a server for my friends?
Yes. Run a server on your computer from the Hosting tab; it gets a public address through a tunnel, so no port forwarding is needed. Or use the free tier of Enzonic Cloud. See server hosting.
Does it support controllers?
Controller mode is a beta for Windows and Linux; turn it on in Settings › Beta features. Gamepads are not supported on macOS.
Which languages is it available in?
English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean. All but English and Spanish are machine-translated and marked as beta.
Does it work with Bedrock Edition?
No. Enzonic Launcher is for Minecraft: Java Edition. To host a Bedrock server for friends, see Enzonic Relay.
